Visual Learner has no accounts, no ads and nothing for sale. It counts visits so I can see which topics are useful. Here is exactly what that involves.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and delivered through Cloudflare, which acts as a proxy and cache. Like any host, they handle your IP address and browser details to serve the files. They are not used by me to identify you.
Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage for this and does not track people across sites. What it records for each view: the page address, the referring site, country, browser, operating system and device type.
A banner asks once. If you click Accept, Google Analytics 4 loads and sets cookies named _ga and _ga_…. It sends page views and which steps of a topic you open, with approximate location and device details, to Google. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off. If you click Decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no Google cookie is set.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, neither tool loads and you will not see the banner.
